To achieve its mission, SJS shall use the following strategies:

• Encourage members to help one another improve the journalism profession in the country.

• Develop on-site visits and other outreach to media outlets.

• Share success stories with members.
• Provide new ideas for shaping the journalism skills.
• Help editors and managers face local and global changes and challenges.
• Support the emergence and development of a free press in the country.
• Generate new projects and new areas of concern.

• Support quality education and training for journalists

• Encourage media organizations and managers to get involved in the promotion of journalism education at local educational institutions.
• Continue to emphasize core values.
• Support freedom of expression and information.
• Maintain diversity in newsrooms and news coverage.
• Prepare accurate, fair and complete reports
